At the RICS we have robust evidence that facilities management can, and more importantly for a high-performing organisation, should, be a strategic management discipline. This course will give you an in-depth knowledge of the essential leadership and strategic thinking skills required to transform you from a technical expert into a strategic leader.

During the course you will develop a better understanding of yourself and those around you, and how to manage and influence people and situations effectively, something which is vital for facilities management professionals wanting to grow and develop into a strategic management role.

Using real life case studies and practical scenarios, you will gain a deeper understanding of the needs of your stakeholders and clients and will improve your commercial awareness. You will become an effective and dynamic leader, improving the performance of your team and your suppliers. The course will cover how to take a strategic view of your budget and ensure it is approved, how to write a business case and how to influence at board level.
