Course information

RICS whole life carbon assessment (WLCA) standard update was published in September 2023, extended to cover all building and infrastructure throughout the built environment life cycle. Assessors working in the global built environment can estimate the amount of carbon emitted throughout the life cycle of a constructed asset, from the early stages of development though to the end of life.

This webinar will look at the roles of the Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager when using the WLCA standard to help manage carbon budgets, reduce lifetime emissions and deliver a net-zero future for the built environment. It will also show how Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager have pivotal roles in controlling and reducing carbon. Understand what the new standard updates are and the changes that have been made.

Hear an in-depth practical example of using the new standard being used and how it differs from 2017.
