Aleksandra (Sasha) Njagulj, Head of Sustainability, R&D and Innovation at Bouygues UK, is a qualified architect with over 15 years of practical experience in architectural design, design management and sustainable built environment.
Aleksandra gained an MSc in Architectural Design from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Belgrade in 2002, and an MA in Interior Design from the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at University of Westminster in 2008. She is currently studying for an MSt in Sustainability Leadership at University of Cambridge.
In 2009 she joined the UK subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, a large international construction company, working initially as a Design Coordinator on various school projects before moving within the organisation in order to pursue her passion for sustainability. She currently leads the ‘Sustainability Hub’, an enthusiastic team of in-house experts within the Technical Department that is at the forefront of the company’s commitment to deliver true sustainability for its clients. Aleksandra is also in charge of R&D and Innovation projects, always on the lookout for the new built environment techniques, products and tools, as well as joining the academic and industrial partners in their development.
During her time with Bouygues she has been able to supplement her architectural qualifications by becoming a licenced BREEAM, HQM and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and a BREEAM Accredited Professional.
