Course information

The 2nd edition of the RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) standard was extended to cover all building and infrastructure throughout the built environment life cycle, to meet a growing client and government demand for consistent and accurate carbon measurement.

This webinar introduces building surveyors to the WLCA Standard, providing guidance on when and how you can practically influence and reduce embodied and whole life carbon with a focus on the "In Use" stage (B1-B7). The session is aimed at those outside of sustainability professions who are looking to understand how best to apply the principles and requirements of the 2nd edition of the WLCA standard in their everyday practice. It will feature case study examples of good practice that highlight how carbon can be factored into your standard processes and inform areas such as retrofit and fit-out.
