How Will I Benefit From This Course?

    RICS APC Candidates

This programme will provide you with the knowledge you need to fulfil the requirements of the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Conflict Avoidance Competency. On successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded the RICS Foundation certificate in ADR and CA which reflects this.

    Trainee Professionals

Trainee engineers, architects, solicitors, barristers, claims managers, project managers, facilities managers, construction specialists and many others will all benefit from acquiring a relevant formal qualification, as well as being able to demonstrate to potential employers that they have a clear understanding of the increasingly important ADR and CA field in the built environment.

    Chartered Surveyors

Courts around the world increasingly require parties to use ADR before litigation. Surveyors need a solid understanding of how ADR operates in land, property and construction to advise their clients properly. Failure to do so can lead to judicial criticism, which is professionally damaging.

    Non-Surveying Professionals

If your professional work touches on land, property and construction, or any other aspects of the built environment, this programme provides you with a quick and comprehensive insight into how ADR works in the sector and how you and your clients can benefit from using it.

    Course Format, Assessment & Outcome

This is a 3-hour course hosted on the RICS Online Learning Academy. The course can be completed in one sitting or in several bite-size modules.

Assessment is in the form of an online multiple-choice test. After successful completion of the modules and test, you will be awarded with an RICS Foundation Level Certificate in Conflict Avoidance and Dispute Resolution.
