Course information

Reducing embodied carbon in the built environment requires the construction industry to embrace low carbon, sustainable methods of building and relies on close collaboration across all project stages.

This one-hour webinar will highlight a selection of low carbon approaches and materials and provide practical ways to implement them. It will consider the barriers to scaling up existing sustainable methods across construction projects including cost, procurement and client risk aversion. Furthermore, it will explore the specific role of surveyors in adopting solutions, in overcoming challenges across early planning, design and build, and in coordinating successful implementation. Attendees will hear lessons from real-life projects and gain invaluable insights into following green best practice.
